Gentle curves along the edges allow for proper tension distribution. When properly tightened and securely attached they can withstand seasonal weather conditions year after year. However, shade sails are not recommended for snow loads. Our shade sails are NFPA 701 - 1999 and ASTM E-84 Class A fire standard compliant. This is particularly important for commercial applications.
